SENIORITIS

So, katie and i have been getting super philosophical lately... that's prettymuch all that there is to do now on christmas break #2. i've realized that it's not so much school, or kids, or work, or petersburg that I'm ready to graduate from. it's just i'm ready to move onto the next part of my life. i feel like our lives come in chapters. there's the kid stage which i think we're still at. we're supported, even in our bad decisions, and our actions don't have nearly as much consequence as we think they do. then there's the pre-adult stage. that's college. you learn how to make it on your own, whether you're ready or not, and you learn a lot about yourself. who you are, what you want to be, and who you'll eventually become. that's where the class of 2009 is about to be. i think that college is really going to open our perspective... and i can't wait. then there's also the adult stage. that's a ways away. that's when we start to learn from our mistakes and live our life, and also help other people learn how to live theirs. one important thing that katie and i decided is that senioritis isn't really about escaping your home town. it's about being able to find and discover yourself through change... tough change and fun change, but still, change.

and i think that it's going to be just amazing. :)

and i'm really proud of us all that we've came so far together, and i really will miss everyone. but... it's time that we all took that leap. well, it will be in four months. (presuming that we miss no more school.)

so... i just think we all should enjoy this part of life while we can.. it'll be behind us soon, for better or worse. we should hold the things that are here with us now close, and try and make memories worth remembering.

sorry if that was depressing.. lol :)

Not depressing. Just deep. I enjoyed it because you are right on so many of the things you said. College will make you grow and expand. I've always said that people change the most from the ages of 18-21. You will not be the same person you are right now, so handle it wisely.
