Yesterday my classmates and I went and saw yet another play at the IRT. It was To Kill A Mockingbird. I really really enjoyed the play. It was more interesting than MacBeth, because the language was actually understandable. I think reading the book last year helped me know what was going on, too. It was still sad, though. Tom Robinson played his part really well, and it made me feel awful for him and his wife. Mr. Ewell about made me hate him, but after the play was over he came out and talked to all of us and I know he was just playing a part. Atticus was a lot different than I pictured him, too. I thought he'd be tall and thin, with dark hair, and just a dark and brooding, but intelligent, type. I really liked that we got to sit on the top too, cause I thought that we could see better.

On with the quotes.
So my blog is about poetry and such and I always put quotes on here but I haven't in a really really long time.
So, here's some more. :)
Be the fruit loop in the world full of cheerios.
Not all those who wonder are lost.
I'm a firm believer that everything happens for a reason.
It is our choices that prove who we really are, rather than our abilities.
There are no ordinary moments.
When we feel stuck, going nowhere, even starting to slip backwards, we may just be backing up to get a running start.
Holding onto something we know we're better off letting go is like being scared to lose something we don't have.
The worst thing about being lied to is knowing you weren't wroth the truth.
Maybe it's true we don't know what we have until we lose it. But maybe it's also true that we don't know what we're missing until we find it.
Loved you once.
Love you still.
Always have.
Always will.
Sometimes you feel everything and nothing all at once. Sometimes you find yourself smiling while missing something at the same time. At times you can absolutely love a person while wanting to hate them. Life comes without guarantees but you can expect that smiling will brighten your face, laughing will enhance your eyes, and falling in love will change your life.
Time you enjoyed wasting was not wasted.
I'm a firm believer that sometimes it's right to do the wrong thing.

SENIORITIS
So, katie and i have been getting super philosophical lately... that's prettymuch all that there is to do now on christmas break #2. i've realized that it's not so much school, or kids, or work, or petersburg that I'm ready to graduate from. it's just i'm ready to move onto the next part of my life. i feel like our lives come in chapters. there's the kid stage which i think we're still at. we're supported, even in our bad decisions, and our actions don't have nearly as much consequence as we think they do. then there's the pre-adult stage. that's college. you learn how to make it on your own, whether you're ready or not, and you learn a lot about yourself. who you are, what you want to be, and who you'll eventually become. that's where the class of 2009 is about to be. i think that college is really going to open our perspective... and i can't wait. then there's also the adult stage. that's a ways away. that's when we start to learn from our mistakes and live our life, and also help other people learn how to live theirs. one important thing that katie and i decided is that senioritis isn't really about escaping your home town. it's about being able to find and discover yourself through change... tough change and fun change, but still, change.
and i think that it's going to be just amazing. :)
and i'm really proud of us all that we've came so far together, and i really will miss everyone. but... it's time that we all took that leap. well, it will be in four months. (presuming that we miss no more school.)
so... i just think we all should enjoy this part of life while we can.. it'll be behind us soon, for better or worse. we should hold the things that are here with us now close, and try and make memories worth remembering.
sorry if that was depressing.. lol :)

Oh sweet blog...
So I'm really really bored right now, and also very tired. We had a swim meet last night, and girsl won, but guys lost. Idk how that is going to affect practice. A lot of us got our best times: me and Miranda definitely did. And I also have to work tonight... at Wesselman's? It's so weird that it's not Voyles Shopworth anymore. I know I'm going to miss it. Oh well.... I just don't think it's going to be the same.
And also, randomly, I have to say... if you want to look at something funny, then I think you should look at LOLcats... it is fun :)

New Year
So, we're finally in the year 2009, which is in fact the year that I graduate. Over break I didn't do a whole lot, but I had 3 Christmases, which could have been worse. I got to see a lot of my family, which I don't get to do but every couple of years. Also, I went up to IUPUI over the weekend and took a tour. I really really really really really love it. Indy's a nice city.. even though it's really big, it's really open, so it doesn't make me claustrophobic. You can actually see the sky there, unlike most big cities.
And, I really can't wait to go there. It'll be nice to get out of Pike... permanently. Of course, Indy isn't that much better, but it'll do until I graduate college and move onto doing traveling PT.
